At the heart of every successful organization is a well-trained team. Professional training equips individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to perform at their best. It ensures consistency, promotes innovation, and helps teams adapt to industry changes and challenges. Investing in ongoing training is not just about growth—it is about maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and excellence in everything we do.
To support the commitment, the Child and Family Advocacy Center has compiled a list of valuable training and development resources to help teams and community members continue learning, growing and leading with confidence.

Addressing Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSBs) in Youth and Children
The process of identifying and responding to problematic sexual behaviors (PSBs) among youth and children remains fragmented and inconsistent nationwide. Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) are uniquely positioned to lead in addressing this issue, thanks to their established role in supporting families impacted by child abuse through a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach.
CACs are trusted conveners of professionals and caregivers, and their expertise equips them to facilitate effective, trauma-informed interventions for children and youth exhibiting PSBs. By strengthening the CAC response to PSBs, we can ensure that all children—those who have experienced harm and those exhibiting concerning behaviors—receive the care and support they need.
Below are curated resources to help CAC leaders, staff, multidisciplinary team partners, and caregivers better understand PSBs and enhance local response efforts.
